Access network drive or shared folder from Linux

Many Linux distributions, especially those that use the GNOME desktop environment, use the file manager. If this is what you're using, you can follow these steps to access your Windows or Server shared folder:


  • From the Files menu

OR 

Hover the Mouse over Applications --> Favorites -->Files


  •  Click on Other Locations





  •  Type smb://Host_name or IP Address or Shared_Foler name in Connect to the Server Text Box and Click on Connect
